The Poor walk/run

The Friends of The Poor Walk/Run began as a national program with the purpose of providing local society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Conferences and Councils the additional funds to help support their special works projects. Today that philosophy continues with Conferences and Councils who provided 11.5 million service hours to help almost 15 million people last year.

Growing every year, The Friends of The Poor Walk/Run had another great year in 2014! Raised over $2.6 million and having events at 247 different locations across the United States were all measures of success.

This year, the Friends of The Poor 5k/Walk will take place at Downtown at the Gardens Mall on a fast certified course with chip timing. the walkers will have the option to walk the 3.1 course or on a scenic 1 mile route.
